Carrick Property Investment Committee: Giving You Peace of Mind

What does the Carrick Property Investment Committee do? 

In a nutshell, the Committee interrogates the property developments to ensure they meet the extremely high standards that Carrick has set. The Committee has four members: Anthony Palmer, Group Commercial Director; Rashay Makan, Director of Operations; Bradd Bendall, Director of Sales; and Mike Fannin, Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director. 

The Committee puts all property transactions and developments through a vigorous vetting process to ensure clients aren’t exposing themselves to any undue risk. Members meet monthly to access new deals in the pipeline and to review the relative and absolute performance of approved developments to ensure they are in line with their respective mandates.  

“While our criteria are not cast in stone, we believe that this approval process is vital to ensure our client’s return expectations are met and that their risk is appropriately managed.  Areas of interrogation include: 

  • Experience, depth, and breadth of a property developers management team 
  • Performance of prior projects and reputation in the market 
  • Length of time in business 
  • Balance sheet strength 
  • Fees charged 
  • Internal controls and risk management systems 
  • Mortgage partners 
  • After sales service 
  • Property management expertise
